NOTES: FLAGPOLE SITTING WAS A MAJOR AMERICAN FAD IN THE MID TO LATE 'TWENTIES. IT HAD ITS ROOTS IN AN ANCIENT DISCIPLINE CALLED STYLITISM, OR COLUMN SITTING AND WHICH WAS A RELIGIOUS EXPERIENCE. FLAGPOLE SITTING NOT SO MUCH. THE SERIOUS POLE SITTERS HAD LOUNGE CHAIRS OR EVEN LITTLE HOUSES BUILT AT THE TOP OF THE POLE. THIS KID DOES NOT LOOK SET UP FOR SEVERAL DAYS OR EVEN SEVERAL HOURS OF SITTING, THOUGH IT'S NIGHT, SO HE MUST HAVE BEEN THERE FOR SOME AMOUNT OF TIME. WHAT WE CAN SEE IS THAT HE LOOKS EMACIATED, AND HIS SHOES AND CLOTHES ARE FALLING APART. ONE WOULD GUESS THAT HE'S VERY POOR AND IS  DOING THIS FAIRLY DANGEROUS STUNT TO MAKE SOME MONEY.

THISIS AN ORIGINAL UNQIUE PRINT.
